Ikea Sofa Bed

We need a new couch, our old couch is lovely, and squishy and very comfy but it has seen better days, it has moved 6 times across parts of Australia, it has had foster kittens use it as a scratching post on top of this it doesn't fit our new home, it is far too big. Even the Leather Doctor told me it probably wasn't worth fixing.

It took us a good 3 months of sitting on hundreds of different couches before we bought the current one so I know we won't be rushing into anything, but it can't hurt to look, just incase we find the perfect couch. I found this beauty at Ikea! Ikea, how I love you! Your Swedish Meatballs, your organising systems, your cinnamon scrolls...FOCUS!

Meet the Backabro, a chaise sofa with a sofa bed, but not one of those old metal flippy out sofa beds, oh no! The Backabro hides half the bed under the sofa so when you raise it the sofa becomes a double bed with no bar down your back! SAY WHAT!

Super affordable, just $899 - $1099 depending on the fabric, I really like the blue pictured which is $999. Because it is from Ikea storage is king and the chaise lifts up for storage and you can swap which side the chaise is.

On top of all that the cover is washable! After having leather I will always need a couch with a cover that can be washed, so many spilt drinks and we don't even have kids yet! If the cover gets too bad, or you're tired of the colour you can always buy a replacement cover. What will they think of next?
