Magic Monday

I have Monday off, it is sort of my Sunday due to working Saturdays. It is a day for washing sheets, baking cakes, grocery shopping and general cleaning.

Yesterday I picked up my lovely friend Christine after she dropped her car off at the mechanics, isn't it the pits having to drop your car off and then be without wheels for days?! To recover we went for coffee at The Coffee Club.

Looks delicious right? The new Rocky Road Mocha, don't be fooled but it's fluffy marshmellows it is not a nice coffee! The strawberry syrup is sickly, the cream is about an inch thick and makes the coffee underneath cold and to top it off bits of coconut kept trying to kill me by sticking to the back of my throat. Definitly a photo worthy coffee but that is about it!

We then burnt off our coffee calories walking around the shops and were thoroughly impressed with Kmarts new and improved homewares. $10 Cushions!

We were not impressed by the USED Fashion at City Beach, my stunning friend is usually a size 8 and she could barely get into a size 14 jacket! It was so ridiculous I ended up asking the sales assistant if they were childrens clothes. Apparently not, just a shitty brand with poor sizing!

My washing didn't happen, I did a courtesy load and hung it on the clothes rack, we had 10 mils yesterday and another 4 last night, the fruit trees are very happy and the pool is nice and full, such a pity it is too cold to swim.

I like to cook Nathan something special on a Monday as I have the time to put in a bit more effort, as I'd made a lamb roast on Sunday I made Scotch Fillet with mushrooms, green beans, peas & chips plus Diane Sauce - a classic and firm favourite in our house!
