Rocklea Markets

On Sunday we went to the markets at Rocklea, Sunday's are the "garage sale" day. It offers a mix of junk on trestle tables through to beautiful handmade crafts, smoked meats and plants. We go for a mix of the plants and the dutch pancakes. The little pancakes are to die for and are a relatively new discovery. It is a good thing we don't go to the markets too often or my jeans would be a lot tighter! Rosie serves them with lashings of butter, whipped cream, jam and ice-cream - heaven.
I forgot to take a photo before eating all my poffertjes so here is a stock image instead!

If you are going to the markets I recommend you stop by Cosie Rosie's, and the smoked meat man is pretty good too...
We picked up some more plants including a dwarf mandarin tree and an olive tree, I am very excited about my olive tree and cannot wait until it fruits! I am going to make the best olives to have with my wine.

We took out a few dead trees along the fenceline and replaced them with dracena cordylines that we had in pots along with our new bromeliads. I really feel happy in this home, it is nice to be able to really settle and enjoy our house and not be worrying about when and where our next move is.

Isn't it lovely to put your roots down? Now all we need to do is clean up the dozen other garden beds and hire a very big mulcher!
