Macrame!

Yup you read right! That old hobby from the 70's is apparently becoming trendy again, damn hipster kids! I have always loved macrame but never bothered to learn how to do it. I saw a macrame plant holder in Kmart the other day and thought it was pretty cool but didn't like that it was made from fluro pink plastic cord, it looked like the cord builders use. Not something I want hanging in my bathroom.

I have since had a Google, watched a few YouTube tutorials and just need to hit up Spotlight so that I can make my own Macrame plant baskets, complete with sophisticated knots and big wooden beads to keep with the 70's vibe.

I would have to say I am overly excited, perhaps it is because I have been lacking a purpose of late and I used to be quite crafty, or maybe because I can't believe how much some shops charge for the retro things!

Ok, the chair is probably out of my league for now since I don't think the old "can't tie knots? tie lots" saying is very helpful with macrame...
