Tupperware Replacements

I adore Tupperware, I sold it at one stage and did really well, I guess when you love and truly believe in a product it is an easy sell, you are more or less just sharing with people why something makes your life so much easier.
I have Tupperware systems throughout my home, from the fridge to the freezer and every where in between. You should see my pantry!
Tupperware has always offered FREE replacements, yes you pay a bit more than for shitty Decor but Tupperware does a better job, lasts and lasts and if it gives up the ghost 10, 20, 30+ years later they give you a new one, for nix. Well, it used to be for nix, now you need to pay $8.80 postage per 5 items. I couldn't believe it, gone are the days of catching up with your friendly demonstrator, seeing the new catalogue and maybe ordering a few "essential" items at the same time as handing over your broken Tupperware.
A lot of people are upset about the postage charge, and I felt pretty miffed about it too, there is no alternative, if you don't pay you don't get your item. You cannot take it to a demonstrator or a distributorship. In fairness to Tupperware I thought I would give it a try, I gathered up my five replacements and tried to find the warranty website online, took ages using different key word searches and couldn't even find the link via the main Tupperware page. Once on you have to create a profile and then you can start to add your Tupperware.

All my Tupperware was accepted for replacement however I have been told if they are suspicious of your claim you will be asked to post your items (at your expense) for inspection and if they pass or fail they will be destroyed, you won't get your item back. I would be pretty frustrated if this happened to me as I'd hate to be paying all that money to replace a $2 seal and then be left with just the base.
My Tupperware arrived via courier within 2 weeks, this was a pleasant surprise as the website had said it would be 4 - 6 weeks. I was happy to get my broken Tupperware replaced and the process was pretty painless. I have once had to wait in excess of three months to receive my replacements from a demonstrator so this was much faster. Overall I'd give the system a 6/10, I hate paying the money and will wait until I have the maximum 5 items before doing it again. This will probably result in me seeing my Demonstrator less so I am not sure how this a good thing for Tupperware in terms of sales.
