Feeling Better

My mental health mini-break did me the world of good, I am feeling happier, healthier and calmer. I also took my own advice and went to the doctors, I am deficient in Iron, Protein, Calcium and Vitamin D! No wonder I was feeling run down! My levels were so low my Doctor was concerned I had become a vegetarian and was doing a poor job of it, nope just eat too many delicious carbs, fruits, veggies and not much else.

I had all these plans to eat more red meat, eggs, natural yoghurt and get in the sun more this week but some how I managed to do my normal grocery shop, completely forgot to buy red meat and have been getting home after dark - oops.

So if you are feeling really cranky, everything is irritating you - small things like the way someone sneezes or how long it takes the car in front to merge maybe you too should pop into your doctors and get a blood test done. I hate blood tests, they make me sick and faint but sometimes, just sometimes it is worth it.

I have also started ticking things of my giant to do list. We have booked a mulcher to get rid of all the fallen branches around the yard, this will also tick off the mulching that needs to be done. We will be taking out the dodgy tree stump and returning my front yard back to a usable space! My living area blinds are on the way from the factory in Western Australia. It is all happening at my place and it is making me happy.

Now we just need to put up the towel rails, finish the drainage and quite a few more little things. But gee does it feel good to start ticking things off!

I think that deserves a chardy! Ok, maybe a steak too.
