Recovery Monday

Monday is usually my busy jobs day, cooking, cleaning, all that jazz! Instead it was a recovery day. After taking out the tree I was knackered, I still got up early because sometimes my brain hates me and thinking keeps me awake. I also had to move the giant heap of logs as they were still scattered across the yard as we were too knackered to move them yesterday. Nightmare.
I didn't get all my meal prepping organised but I'm proud to say I got the washing done! Yay! Now it just needs to be folded, ironed and put away...
I may have spent a bit of time in the pool too, very relaxing and soothing on my tired muscles. In case you were wondering the water was 18c and was a tad nippy, I swam quick laps and then floated around enjoying that top pocket of water that seemed to be warmer.

I tried to spruce up the place with a bit of greenery as we don't have any flowers in the garden at the moment, this giant leaf really suited my summer loving mood and made me feel a bit tropical like I was on vacation, except without the sunscreen and cocktails.

Due to my poolside relaxion I had to do my grocery shop at night, which I friggin hate, everyone is stressed and irritated, staff are stacking shelves and it is hard to figure out the prices as they're doing catalogue roll-over. Never again.

I did however find a froggy friend and Husband thinks we look alike. Not sure I see the resemblance? I also bought a swiffer! Exciting times my friends! Mum has one and loves it, she also has cats and we both fight the good fight trying to stay on top on the cat fur situation. It is currently 25% off at Woolies and I must say I am very impressed so far, I have not used the wet pad though as I have Steamy Steve my steam mop.

I was excited but not quite that excited. I think she may have mixed her cleaning products and the fumes are getting to her.
