The new Tupperware Spring Summer catalogue is here! I was so excited and couldn't believe I missed the release. This is normally my favourite catalogue but this year I realised something, I already have it all. Ok so maybe I don't have every single item but nothing is new for me. I have the fridge, freezer and pantry sorted. Bake a cake? I have a container for that. Open a jar of olives? You bet, I have a container for that.
I am terribly addicted to the stuff, I tried going to meetings, took a friend for support and instead found myself leaving with a kit and wad of brochures under my arm. I no longer demonstrate Tupperware however I am still "that" guest. I have to sit on my hands at parties as I always have a tip or trick to share. If the demonstrator is woeful it takes all my willpower and a strong friend to keep me in my seat so I don't take over.
There seem to be two very distinct groups when it comes to these types of parties, those who adore them and see them as a great way to catch up with a group of friends, this is me. The other is those that avoid them like the plague.
As I love them I have been to a few and hosted a lot, underwear? Tick! Tupperware? Tick! Linen? Tick! Tick! But now I'm hosting a new one, the Thermomix. I have avoided these parties for years, I knew in my heart I would attend one and leave with either a Thermomix or a sales kit. I don't need a Thermomix, I have all the appliances that it replaces and I don't have the money. They are EXPENSIVE!
How did I end up booking this party? A dear friend has started demonstrating and needs some guinea pigs. As this lady held many a Tupperware party for me I could only return the favour!
I have a gaggle of girls attending, there will be wine, cake and just too much food in general. I promise to take lots of notes and let you all know what I think of the Thermomix.

It's a good thing I can't afford one, I have a feeling I'm going to really like it.
