Spring has Sprung!

Tomorrow is the first day of Spring, in family tradition it rained on Tim's Birthday and then cleared up ready for Spring tomorrow. I like to think Mother Nature is having a big spring clean, getting everything fresh and shiny for the coming months, welcoming new shoots, blooms and animals. The magpies are getting aggressive, the mynah birds have been taking notes and are getting into the swooping action too this year. We are shooing the bush turkeys from our yard so they don't settle in and make their nests under our trees, Shovey likes to chase them so it's best they find a quieter spot for their burgeoning family.

Our fruit trees have buds, trees are starting to flower and I've just put in a large mint plant to keep us full of vodka cocktails and potato salad all summer.

I spent today tidying up for the week ahead, soaked up the sun with the cats and Shovey. Very relaxing!
