Wisdom Teeth Aren't Very Wise

I did it! Sure it only took me about 10 years but I have finally booked in my wisdom teeth removal surgery! *HIGH FIVE!* I feel so grown up, so in charge of my life and yes, a little bit scared. Not sure why it has taken me this long, I just kept putting it off, it was too expensive, too painful, and my teeth didn’t hurt that much…
Finally I decided it was time and then I couldn't find a dentist to do the surgery! It can't be done in a chair and all need to come out at once, plus a bit of jaw that is totally in the way. NIGHTMARE! I finally found a lovely dental surgeon who would do it for a generous fee only for him to have such a great time on his Christmas break that he isn't coming back to work. Ever. I really should have stuck to my childhood dreams of becoming a dentist and then I could take amazing holidays that I don't have to return from.

New Dentist seems nice, he is confident so that is the main thing, only took him a few days to review my file and take me on. Plus he will match the other dentists quote, so kind, so generous. Now I have a couple of nervous weeks as I work myself into a state about "What Will Happen?".
I think the bit I’m really worried about is the fact I won’t be able to talk properly for a few days. Lucky I have Husband to look after me, lots of bed rest, ice-cream, smoothies, blended fruit juices; apart from the painful surgery bit this is actually starting to sound a bit of alright! Just as long as he doesn’t film me when I’m coming out of that anaesthetic haze we will be fine.

As I am thirty this year and I am doing all the things I have been putting off. I bought a bikini – say what?! I am yet to wear it outside my own private pool but I still own it and feel chuffed with myself, first bikini ever! I’ve booked in my surgery and next thing you know I’ll be sorting out my superannuation like a proper adult!
